Senior Analyst, Actuarial (RBC)

Summary

The Senior Actuarial Analyst supports, with limited supervision, the delivery of Hong Kong statutory reporting on an HKRBC basis. The role involves performing actuarial valuation, financial analysis, and regulatory reporting to ensure accurate and timely reporting. The incumbent will contribute to HKRBC implementation, capital management, and continuous improvement of reporting processes, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support regulatory and business requirements.

Job Duties

• Perform actuarial valuation under HK statutory basis (HKRBC) and regular financial reporting tasks to provide accurate results and meaningful conclusions.

• Develop analyses to explain HKRBC actuarial valuation results to management.

• Perform financial analyses to assess and protect the capital generation under HKRBC in the company's capital optimization practices.

• Perform other HKRBC related tasks such as model UAT and annual budget planning.

• Provide support on ORSA preparation.

• Develop and maintain proper control and documentation.

• Perform tasks related to the dividend strategy of the company.

• Perform other ad-hoc projects as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Actuarial Science or equivalent

• 2 to 4 years’ relevant experience in life insurance industry

• Good progress of actuarial exams of SOA or other actuarial professional organizations

• Strong insurance/actuarial knowledge

• Actuarial software programming in RAFM

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and VBA

• Good command of English

• Good problem solving & analytical skills
