Job Duties

Participating /Universal Life Business Management:

 Support and manage a work group in participating / universal life business management, including dividend declaration, policyholders’ reasonable expectation management, policyholders’ enquiries or marketing/ channel support on participating business. (35%)

 Ensure regulatory and internal compliance, including GL16 and GL34, and the participating business committee (25%)

 Provide support to other participating /universal life business initiatives including but not limited to review of asset and liability strategy, principle of participating financial management and mechanism on dividend determination. (20%)

Other responsibilities

 Represents Actuarial and provides required actuarial support to special projects including implementation of new regulatory regimes. (10%)

 Develops and trains up team members to gain relevant actuarial knowledge and techniques. Regularly reviews and discusses with managers about the progress of team members and identify improvement/development areas. (5%)

 Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by manager in order to meet business or other requirements. (5%)

 Support manager in co-ordination of task assignment and resources for the team.

Qualifications

 University / College graduate with at least 6-8 years of relevant experience.  Attained Fellowship in Actuarial professional examination  Proficient in MS Office and data analysis techniques, knowledge of actuarial

software will be an advantage.  Experience in project and tasks / team management  Good command of written and spoken English  You are required to obtain relevant license if your job involves regulated

Role Senior Analyst, Actuarial

Summary

The Senior Actuarial Analyst supports, with limited supervision, the delivery of Hong Kong statutory reporting on an HKRBC basis. The role involves performing actuarial valuation, financial analysis, and regulatory reporting to ensure accurate and timely reporting. The incumbent will contribute to HKRBC implementation, capital management, and continuous improvement of reporting processes, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support regulatory and business requirements.

Job Duties

• Perform actuarial valuation under HK statutory basis (HKRBC) and

regular financial reporting tasks to provide accurate results and

meaningful conclusions.

• Develop analyses to explain HKRBC actuarial valuation results to

management.

• Perform financial analyses to assess and protect the capital generation

under HKRBC in TLB’s capital optimization.

• Perform other HKRBC related tasks such as model UAT and annual

budget planning.

• Provide support on ORSA preparation.

• Develop and maintain proper control and documentation.

• Perform tasks related to the dividend strategy of the company.

• Perform other ad-hoc projects as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Actuarial Science or equivalent

• 2 to 4 years’ relevant experience in life insurance industry

• Good progress of actuarial exams of SOA or other actuarial

professional organizations

• Strong insurance/actuarial knowledge

• Actuarial software programming in RAFM

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and VBA

• Good command of English

• Good problem solving & analytical skills

• Strong attention to detail and desire to produce a high-quality work

product and learn
